Nebosh IGC Training

The NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) course provides effective ways and methods to manage occupational health and safety. The qualification is highly recognized globally as the gold standard in health and safety training and certification.

The standard duration for International General Certificate is 65 taught hours and an estimated 40 hours of private study.

The updated NEBOSH syllabus consist of two units; IGC1 and IGC2

The in-class training runs for 10 working days, from Mondays - Fridays, for two weeks except weekends.

• The IGC1 is covered within 6 days | The IGC2 is covered within 4 days

• Time: 9:00am - 4:00pm Daily

• Mode of training: You can either enrol for the Classroom, or Online Virtual Instructor-led mode of training.

What does the NEBOSH IGC Syllabus cover?

UNIT IG1: Management of occupational health and safety. This unit is broken into the following topics

• Why we should manage occupational health and safety.• How occupational health and safety management systems work and what do they look like. The PDCA Cycle: Plan, do, check, and act.• Managing risk - understanding people and processes.• Health and safety monitoring and measuring.

UNIT IG2: Risk Assessment. This unit focuses on occupational health and safety practical applications. It is broken into the following hazards and risk control topics

• Physical and psychological health.• Musculoskeletal health.• Chemical and biological agents.• General workplace issues.• Work equipment.• Fire safety.• Electrical safety.

Candidates are assessed by an online open book examination (OBE) for IG1 and a compulsory practical assessment for IG2.

In the past the IGC exams used to hold at the British Safety Council but nowadays it is done online on the NEBOSH examination platform.

Participants are expected to score a minimum pass mark of 45% for IG1. However, at our accredited NEBOSH partner training centre candidates are equipped to score a distinction i.e 75% and above. Plus our candidates are trained to also ace the practical assessment.

You must pass the NEBOSH IG1 and IG2 in order to be awarded the NEBOSH qualification.

You can choose any of the below modes of training:

• N250,000 per participant, for classroom mode of training.

• N230,000 per participant, for Online Instructor-led mode of training.

• N210,000 per participant, for Online Self-paced mode of training.

The course fee covers: registration, training course manual, refreshment (depending on training mode), practical assessment, NEBOSH IGC exam registation, Mock NEBOSH examination practice questions and answers.

Installmental payment is allowed. However, payment should be completed before the beginning of the training.

Candidates who successfully pass the examination (IGC1) and practical assessment (IGC2) will be awarded the prestigious NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) directly from the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), UK.

The Classroom training holds in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State and Lagos State at our nebosh accredited partner's office .
