On completion of this course, students will be certified with the Confined Space Entry certificate of completion.The course is compulsory for workers who might be assigned jobs that require entry into or around permit required confined spaces like silo, storage tanks, pump stations, sewers, manholes, pipelines, tunnels, vaults and pits.If you work in or around confined spaces,then this course is suitable for you.

Why Confined Space Entry TrainingConfined space entry is a dangerous activity and requires a very thorough training program and supervision to avoid serious incidents.Also, the confined space entry program, in most industries, goes along with confined space rescue training, working at height (WAH) training, and general health safety and environment (hse) training.This course exposes the hazards involved in confined spaces such as entrapment, engulfment and dangerous atmospheric conditions and effective control measures for workers. Participants will learn the different types of confined spaces, the hazards associated with confined space entry, and control measures to safely enter and exit such environment.

Learning OutcomesAt the end of the course participants will be able to:
  • Identify the hazards associated with confined spaces including entrapment hazards, engulfment hazards, and hazardous atmospheric conditions.
  • Employ control measures to safely enter and exit a confined space. Such measures including the use of harness belt, obtaining a permit to work, having a dedicated attendant, taking regular breaks, and gas testing the atmosphere at regular intervals.
  • Use & maintain different types of personal protective equipments (PPE).
  • Apply the general principles of health safety and environment (hse).

Training Schedule3 Days (or 2 weekends) including the certification examination.
  • Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm Daily
  • Date: We conduct training every week from January to December (except public holidays).
  • Training Schedule: Mondays - Wednesdays (all training centers) | Saturdays (some training centers).

What will I learn?
  • Introduction to confined space entry
  • Understanding different types of confined spaces and determine if they are permit or non-permit required.
  • The roles and responsibilities of the confined space entry team including entrants, attendants, supervisors, and managers.
  • Principles of permit to work (PTW) system.
  • Types of hazards such as atmospheric hazards, entrapment, engulfment, chemicals, and biological hazards
  • Hazard control, CS entry procedure and cse drill.
  • Safe entry and exit from permit required confined spaces
  • Use of breathing apparatus (BA)
  • Confined space rescue
  • Assessment

There are no formal entry requirements.However, candidates should have a basic knowledge in health and safety matters prior to taking the course. Moreover, the course is most suitable for employees in the following sectors:
